Nice place to walk to from the village of Schlinig. Good coffee. Unfortunately no kaiserschmarren.
Very nice alpine pasture with a great view.
Goulash with dumplings was the meal of the day and is highly recommended.

The route to Schlinig is more demanding. Past the monastery with a few hairpin bends.
Drive through to the end of the village to the cross-country skiing center car park. From there there are 2 ways to the Alm. Circular route is therefore possible. Left along the river with some opportunities for the little ones to play along a forest road near the forest. Back across the meadows on a tarred footpath.
I arrived at the Alm after a strenuous climb and only realized after ordering that I had forgotten my wallet. Thanks to the nice and uncomplicated staff and boss, a solution was found so that I could enjoy the wonderful food.

Nice view of the valley towards Schlinig. Ideal for a short break or a delicious lunch. Reasonable prices and good selection.

Easily reachable with a 45' walk.
Yes you can also reach it by car but you would lose all the charm of the walk.

After a 40-minute walk (without any major climbs) from the Schlinig ski center you reach the Alm. There you can sit in the sun until around 1:30 p.m. in January. Service good and fast, prices ok, you can also buy homemade mountain cheese there.
It is easily accessible on foot or even by bike, as we were. It was fun with live music, you could also dance. The food is simple but delicious, typical hut style. The staff is kind, fast, they paid attention to everything.
